David Stewart - Solicitor/Partner

David was born in 1957 and graduated LL.B. from Glasgow University in 1978. He worked for another Ayrshire firm from then until 1981 when he joined Curdie & Smith shortly before their amalgamation with J & J Sturrock & Co. David has substantial experience in most areas of legal practice. During his early career, he was mainly concerned in civil court work and conveyancing. Nowadays, he deals mainly with conveyancing and general property work, business problems and succession, wills and estates and charity administration.

Lauren McCall - Solicitor/Partner

Lauren graduated from the University of Strathclyde in 2007 with a BA in Business and in 2009 with an LLB in Law. She then completed the Diploma in legal practice at the Glasgow Graduate School of Law in the summer of 2010. Lauren is a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners having completed the STEP Diploma in Trusts and Estates in 2017.

Lauren joined Carruthers Curdie Sturrock and Co in the autumn of 2012, having qualified and completed her traineeship with a large firm in Glasgow.
 
Lauren mainly deals with succession, wills and estates, charity administration, powers of attorney, trusts and residential conveyancing.

David Fleming - Solicitor/Partner

David graduated from The University of Glasgow in 2007 with a B.Sc. in Aeronautical Engineering and from The University of Strathclyde in 2008 with an LLB in law, before completing the Diploma in legal practice at the Glasgow Graduate School of Law in 2009.

David completed his traineeship with a large firm in Glasgow and Edinburgh before going on to work in that firm’s Commercial Real Estate team post qualification.  David then returned to his native Kilmarnock to work with another local firm in 2013 before joining Carruthers Curdie Sturrock and Co in early 2016.

David has experience in preparing commercial leases, the buying and selling of commercial and residential property, the preparation of wills and powers of attorney and processing commercial security transactions.

 

Duncan McLean – Solicitor/Consultant

Duncan graduated LLB from the University of Strathclyde in 1978.  He was a Partner in another Ayrshire Firm until setting up his own practice in Kilmarnock in 1987 where he was Senior Partner until joining Carruthers Curdie Sturrock & Co in August 2020 as a Consultant.  His experience is mainly in Wills, Estates, Powers of Attorney and Residential Conveyancing.
